WLISD Reopening Plan (Detailed)

Wink-Loving ISD will post for parents and the general public, one week prior to the start of on-campus activities and instruction, a summary of the plan we will follow to mitigate COVID-19 spread in our schools. This summary document will broadly address the major points in this guidance, and will be posted on the school system homepage or another easily found area on the system website. Wink-Loving ISD will designate the superintendent, campus principals and school nurse as the employees that are responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns and clearly communicate for all school staff and families who this person or group is and how to contact them.

Mrs. Kittie Gibson – Region 18 TASSP Middle School Principal of the Year

Each year the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) recognizes exemplary performance among campus level administrators in Texas. Region 18 has selected Mrs. Kittie Gibson as Middle School Principal of the Year. WLISD is fortunate to have the leadership of Mrs. Gibson at the Wink Junior High/High School. The Region Outstanding Principal/Assistant Principal Awards are presented at the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer Workshop next June. WLISD Guide to Reopening 2020-2021

As a school district, Wink-Loving ISD looks forward to welcoming students back to school on August 17, 2020. Despite the challenges with COVID-19, our district will continue to provide an excellent education to our students, including both in-person and remote learning environments. As the public health crisis continues, we plan to open the 2020-21 school year with a focus on the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, students, and community.
