Philip Beard

Thank you!! for the opportunity for us to be here at Wink and begin our Agriculture Mechanics Program. It is an honor to work with your son and daughter as we navigate this new pathway. This year marks my 30th year in Agriculture Education and Agriculture Mechanics. My passion and my hobbies revolve around Agriculture Mechanics and production agriculture. My wife Lisa and I have a daughter and two sons plus a new granddaughter. All three of our kids have a FFA background and work in agriculture.

My aims and purposes are to equip your son or daughter with enough industry based skills to be the most dangerous and well skill equipped employee when they complete our courses. They will also receive three industry certifications that will when needed help separate them from a pack of young entry level applicants. This is the time for them to be inquisitive and get out of their comfort zone while they learn and practice new skills. Ask your son or daughter what they are learning and encourage them to perform what they are learning at home. This reinforces the importance of what is occurring here at the school.

If you have any questions, please feel free to come by and visit or call me at 575-323-4533 or email me at [email protected]. I look forward to meeting you and working with your son or daughter.
