Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Wink-Loving ISD home page. We are looking forward to another great school year at WLISD.

My name is Scotty Carman. I am the superintendent of WLISD. This is my fifteenth with our district and my 31st year in education. I am very excited to have been given the honor and privilege to serve the students, parents, teachers, and community of Wink-Loving I.S.D.

I attended Wink-Loving ISD from kindergarten through twelfth grade and am a proud member of the Wink High School Class of 1988.  I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Masters of Education Degree from Sul Ross State University. I received my Superintendent certification through Angelo State University. 

Wink-Loving ISD is fortunate to have a dedicated staff of well-trained teachers and staff to educate our children.  WLISD has a history of fine academic and extra-curricular accomplishments. Our students are encouraged to challenge themselves and to explore a variety of course offerings as well as extracurricular activities. 

We are here to make all of the students' years in school fun, successful, and as educationally challenging as possible.  As superintendent, I am committed to doing my part in keeping our school moving forward and in providing the experiences that our students need to help them be successful throughout life. My door is always open to all members of the Wink-Loving ISD school community, and I invite you to peruse this website and contact me or any staff members with your concerns, suggestions, or comments.
