U.S. History

This course is designed to take students on a trip throughout history from the Post Civil War Era through the current era. Students will learn how far this Nation has come since the war that split the U.S. Our journey will include the two World Wars as well as the struggles for added freedoms not shared by all through out the years. We will learn about the important Civil Rights activists, Women's Rights activists, and others that fought either with the word or the "sword" to advance rights for those who were oppressed. We will venture through the years of success as well as the years of agony and defeat. My hope is that at the end of the course, your student will not only be able to excel on the SLincolnTAAR test, but have a little more understanding of the struggles that those who walked before them had to face in order for them to have the freedoms they value today.
