Just a little about me... I am married to the Love of My Life, we were blessed with 4 Wonderful Children ( all grown). I am a Nonnie ( my favorite status ) to our 5 Sweet~ Grand~Loves... and blessed to have our Daughter and our two oldest Grand~Loves Shanea and Mason living in Wink. Shanea and Mason have attended school here from Pre K. If you ask them if they would want to ever go to another school! Their answer is, "No Thank You"! We are WildCats! Wink is Home!!!
I've had the honor of teaching in Wink for the last 9 years and I love it here! We have an Awesome Principal ( Mrs. Voyles) who is dedicate to the students and the staff. I am a part of an Amazing Group of Teachers and Staff here at Wink Elementary who's goal is instill a love of lifetime learning. We are blessed with a Wonderful Superintendent, who's Moto is "We are in it for the Children"! We are also fortunate to have the Best School Board Members who are in align with the WLISD Moto " Committed to Excellence " and back up the commitment with positive and progressive actions!
One of my favorite philosophies is... " It takes a Village to raise a Child"... We are Blessed with the Best Village here at WLIDS! Stick around... and you will agree!
Welcome to Kindergarten at Wink Elementary... Where... we believe a great education is the foundation for a great futures for our students! Kindergarten is where important milestones take place for a strong academic foundation that leads to "successful readers and great leaders"! Wink Elementary uses an Amazing Reading Program know as "GUIDED READING PROGRAM" along with "WRITER'S WORKSHOP" to ensure a collaborative balance between reading, comprehension and writing . As an ELAR TEACHER (Reading Teacher) I have seen great success in my Student's comprehensive reading, and writing skills on and well above grade level! We are blessed to be in an amazing school district who's focus is on what's best for our student's safety, wellbeing and education. So here is to another Amazing School Year at Wink Elementary!
***Please remember to check your Child's Folder Daily for "Notes, Homework, Study Sheet, Lunch Menu, and Monthly Calendar which will inform you of any Events going on at Wink Elementary and our Classroom". If you send checks/money please place is an envelope or ziplock baggy with their name and an explanation for the money and put in child's folder along with any important notes or paperwork. Also, please refer to our Wink-Loving ISD School Website for updates to stay current on Wildcat News.

CONFERENCE TIMES ARE BETWEEN THE TIMES OF 11:50 - 12:30 ( Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) and (Wildcat Wednesday) are an early release day 1:40 unless your Child is staying for Tutorials or you chose for them to stay until 3:15
*School begins at 7:45 and is released at 3:15 (for Kinder, that is on West Side Playground Gate).
