As a part of TXU Energy’s commitment to make our communities sustainable places to live, work and play, the company recently donated eight live oak trees to Wink Elementary School. TXU Energy also held an educational planting event to help students cultivate their sustainability awareness. Kindergarten through third-grade classes will care for the trees for the remainder of the school year. Through a partnership with the Texas Trees Foundation, the trees were grown at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm and Education Center in Dallas, the largest known urban tree farm in the United States.
