In light of the oil & gas production downturn and the state of the national economy, Wink-Loving ISD Board of Trustees has voted to reduce our overall tax rate by $0.2855.
Wink-Loving ISD wants to provide needed relief to families and oil & gas companies during the current tough economic times. Wink-Loving ISD is able to do this because of the efforts of a fiscally responsible school board and utilizing the benefits of oil & gas production the past several years.
The Wink-Loving ISD tax rate was $1.32 during the 2019-2020 school year. This year the district adopted a tax rate of $1.0345, which is a decrease of $0.2855.
The Maintenance and Operation (M&O) tax rate will decrease to $0.9095 from $0.97 last year and the Interest & Sinking (I&S) tax rate will drop to $0.125 from $0.35 respectively.
