Purpose, Mission , Goals and Initial Funding Priorities

 

PURPOSE

The Wink-Loving Education Foundation will support educational excellence to enhance student achievement, to recognize exemplary staff involvement and to foster community support and involvement. In addition, this corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to benefit the Wink-Loving School District located in Winkler County, in the State of Texas. To this end, the corporation shall at all times be operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as now enacted or hereafter amended, including, for such purposes, the receiving of contributions and the making of distributions to organizations that qualify.

 

MISSION

Wink-Loving ISD Education Foundation Mission Statements:

The mission of the Wink-Loving ISD Education Foundation is to generate and distribute resources to the students and programs of Wink-Loving Independent School District to enrich and expand programs needed to meet the District’s stated mission and promote excellence in education. 
 

Wink-Loving ISD Mission Statement:

The mission of the District is to prepare its students to deal with the present and the future in three areas. Students need to have a fundamental knowledge of academic skills, to be able to use critical thinking skills, and to have the skills to be productive, responsible citizens who exhibit pride in our American heritage. In achieving these objectives, the faculty and staff are accountable for providing quality and equitable instruction. We feel that these objectives will prepare our students for a lifetime of learning.
 

GOALS
The Wink-Loving ISD Education Foundation will achieve its mission by directing resources toward the following goals:

  1. Encourage all students to work at their highest potential
  2. Provide resources for students to pursue post secondary education or training
  3. Support staff for innovation and recognize exemplary teaching
  4. Involve the community in assuring a quality education for the leaders and workers of tomorrow
