My name is Scotty Carman. I am the superintendent of Wink-Loving ISD. This is my fifteenth with our district and my 31st year in education. I am very excited to have been given the honor and privilege to serve the students, parents, teachers, and community of Wink-Loving I.S.D.

I attended Wink-Loving ISD from kindergarten through twelfth grade and am a proud member of the Wink High School Class of 1988.  I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Masters of Education Degree from Sul Ross State University.

As the father of two, ages 23 (Brooke) and 25 (Bryce), I feel strongly that schools have the responsibility and the privilege of providing vital skills and knowledge to the children of our community, while instilling in those students a strong sense of self-worth and the confidence to face the world after graduation, prepared for hard work and success.

My wife, Samantha, and I were educated in small schools, and have spent the majority of our careers in small school districts.  It was important to us that our children grew up with the values and expectations found in close-knit schools and communities.

My door is always open to all members of the Wink-Loving ISD school community, and I invite you to peruse this website, and contact me or any staff members with your concerns, compliments, comments, or suggestions.

My office number is (432) 527-3880 ext. 7001.

My cell number is (432) 208-3044.

My e-mail address is: [email protected] .

I know that together, we can make this year the most successful and exciting school year ever!
